Like every year, Assam witnessed a devastating flood situation in 2019 also. During this grief situation, everybody tried to help people within their capacity. BDF too came forward and distributed food and other items of basic necessities to the flood-affected people.
Helped migrant workers stranded across India during national lockdown 2020 Arranged stay, food, rail tickets, bus including e-Pass and virtually escorted till destinations Ensured timely payment of wages of the migrant workers by contacting employers and District authorities Helped apply for financial assistance announced by the State Govt Helped in the treatment of poor patients with financial contributions Helped 21 migrant workers on bicycles coming from Punjab stranded in Delhi for 4 days Helped migrant workers stranded in Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra & Tamilnadu return to Assam Mepal, Rahul & a friend had a miraculous return
